I was just curious if anyone thought that it might be a good idea to cut down on the number of forums and combine them.
Might increase the total number of posts, since there'll be increased views of threads. Like, combine sports and gaming, that's a logical match. There are others. I just feel sad when I post in a forum, and I come back like 12 hours later, and I see that no one has posted in that forum, much less the thread, since I left last.

I agree. That is probably the reason i post in the lounge so often too. I don't like to keep clickng into new forums so i can read. It gets boring.
We've thought about it...any other suggestions?
we could do like they do on stangnet, have categories with sub categories

It's pretty simple to just click on new posts to see which threads are active.
I say screw sub-forums. It's all a lounge to me.

I like how the forums are built up. I don;t have any complaints.

Well, one that pops up in my head is gamers and help desk. Considering just about all of the games mentioned in there are electronic of some sort, it makes sense to me to combine them.
And I always thought that history/culture should be in there with big debates.

It's pretty simple to just click on new posts to see which threads are active.
Half the time that doesn't work, it says no matches found even if there were 700 new posts since my last visit, then it resets it to 0.
