FALFURRIAS - Some angry residents bring a personal message to the Minutemen in South Texas. The Minutemen have been patrolling in South Texas for more than a week now.

A newly formed civil rights coalition went to their headquarters in Falfurrias Saturday. The group wants to remind the Minutemen those immigrants have rights as well.

Jesse Castellanos rides to a place where eyes are always watching for illegal immigrants. For a week, the Minutemen have roamed South Texas ranch land and Castellanos heads to the group's headquarters for answers.

"I have a question for you guys...are you racist?" asked Castellanos. No one answers from behind the gates. But the sign says all you need to know. It said, "No trespassing. Violators will be shot. Survivors will be shot again."

"Immigrant" means something different from what these people are. Immigrants don't enter the country illegally. These people do. The Minutemen are performing a much needed service, as the government has demonstrated many times that it cannot/will not prevent criminals from entering this country.

I question wether these people are in fact criminals.

We must be referring to them commonly as "immigrants" for a reason, right?

Two teens arrested for robbing gay men near LIE in Melville

(10/10/05) MELVILLE - Two teens are behind bars Monday accused of beating and robbing gay men at gunpoint.

Police say on at least two occasions Copiague residents Victor Lopez, 18, and David Andrade, 19, and a third suspect lured gay men from a park and ride in Melville to a wooded area. It's there police say the teens beat and robbed their victims.

According to police, one of the suspects would meet the men at the park and ride and promise the individual sex. The suspect would then take the victim to a wooded area where the other two teens would be waiting. Police say one of the suspects would then take the victim's ATM card and make withdrawals while the others held the person at gunpoint.

Lopez and Andrade, who police say are undocumented immigrants from Honduras, are charged with first-degree robbery as a hate crime and unlawful imprisonment as a hate crime. The two face 25 years behind bars.

does someone have the stats on illegal immigrants in LA county prisons? I've heard it's the overwhelming majority.
