Bin Laden Says No Peace for U.S. Until Palestine Free
Sunday October 7 2:56 PM ET

DUBAI (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden (news - web sites), in his first verified statement since the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States, swore in videotaped remarks broadcast Sunday that the United States would not live in peace until ``peace reigns in Palestine.''

``America has been filled with horror from north to south and east to west, and thanks be to God what America is tasting now is only a copy of what we have tasted,'' he said in a statement to Qatar's al-Jazeera television, referring to the attacks in the United States that left about 6,000 people dead or missing.

``Our Islamic nation has been tasting the same for more 80 years,'' he said, adding President Bush (news - web sites) was the ``head of the infidels.''

``God has blessed a group of vanguard Muslims to destroy America ... and may God bless them and allot them a place in heaven.''

``I swear to God to that America will not live in peace before peace reigns in Palestine,'' he said.

Jazeera said the statement was videotaped after Sept. 11 but did not give a specific date. An aide to bin Laden, Ayman Zawahri, urged Muslims to resist America and another aide said the attacks were because America supported Israel's occupation of Arab lands.

You know, I find it interesting that beofre the 'main' reason fo Bin Ladens terror campaign was firmly set in the diea of our involvement in ALL of the middle east, and not just Israel/Paletine.

Steming from our american troops in Saudia Arabia.

I wonder if Laden is singing this song and doing this dance to a) put a wedge between us and Israel b) see what Bush does.

With the comments the US made regarding the vision of the Palestinian state, we already have a wedge with Israel. If we think we can appease laden by pushing that through...we could really alineate a lot of Israelis.

Departing from my usual attempt at cool headedness, I say to hell with Osama, to hell with Palestine, and to hell with Palestines Nobel prize winning terrorist leader. In the end it always comes back to God's chosen people doesn't it?

In my opinion, bin Laden doesn't give a tinker's damn about the palestinian people. This is all about amassing personal power for him. Like just about any other nut case would-be ruler or savior, he'll say whatever he thinks will get the people behind him. Hitler did it in 1930s Germany, The communists did it in WWI Russia, and later throughout Asia. There are SO many examples, I could extend this thread to 50 gigs.

The bottom line is it's all rhetoric! You could completely disolve Isreal, absorb all it's citizenry to the West, and then it'd be about Jews existing at all. Convert or kill them and it'd be Christians and Hindus next, do the same with them, and it'd be you weren't being a good Muslim.

In short, the hell with his propaganda. He all but admitted to 9/11 in this video released today. That's enough to justify kicking his sorry butt.
