Members are talking about leaving,the staff is edgy and defensive-the last couple bans left people slow to post or even avoiding the site-I'm not questioning the decision and I'm not questioning anyone's right to disagree about how the staff are doing their job-things were slow before this happened,I'm not leaving,God willing,I feel I have a vested interst here and it's not just because I ponied up the loot-
DA has a promise to be a wonderful asset,a portal of communication with a lot of interesting and colorful people-let's not let something like this ruin that for us.

These message boards are cyclical. Some people get banned, then others get pissed about it and leave, then new people join and the whole thing starts over. Meanwhile, the site continues to chug away and not miss a beat. While each message board is different with its underlying subject matter, the group dynamics are the same no matter what site you join. No member (except maybe the site owner) can not be replaced.

It's all good though, because I agree with Unrepresented. This place is getting boring, and by boring I mean uninteresting. Sure, there are "feisty" debates. But little insight to be gained from them. Fun for those who use debating as a means of masturbation, not so fun for us others.

Powerboss and Johnson, who ras mentioned, really isn't here, the place would be more fun if they were. And the same can be said about ten of the banned members that I know of. Probably more. Not to mention the ones who left on their own. No members are replaceable.

Maybe the staff needs some other way of punishing people for being *******s. I'm thinking public corporeal punishment.
