I haven't put in a real entry in here in awhile, so I thought I'd post with what's going on in my world.

I think I'm going to meet my goal of having a full Security team at Rocky (http://www.sins.la) by the Halloween show, which would be awesome. This month also marks my two year anniversary of being on cast at Sins. Two years, and I've worked my way up to being the head of Security, and I'm respected and liked enough in cast to (I hope) be considered as a viable option for cast leader when one of them retires in another few years (probably at least 4 years away still).

We're pulling in record numbers, our shows are great fun and the cast is going through a bit of a renaissance right now. Lots of new members are joining, which is great but worrying at the same time. When an established cast like Sins gets a lot of new members, a lot of the history gets forgotten because the older members leave. If the wisdom learned by experience from the older members isn't passed down to the younger ones, we go in circles and run the risk of losing what we have--which is the most successful RHPS cast in the country.

Now, getting away from Rocky. Work is great fun. I'm making a lot of friends at work, one of whom I'm carpooling with 3 days out of the week. Yay for saving money and mileage on my car. :w00t:

I've got several people who are viable options as flatmates for getting an apartment. Hopefully I'll be able to move out by the end of November, but I'm realistically thinking that it'll happen in December or January now.

As for my future, I'm talking with people about the best way to achieve my goal, and getting some good advice. I've come to the realization that my goal in life is to be a storyteller. Some of my stories lend themselves to novels, others to short stories, and still others to video games. I've got an increasing urge to get back to my writing though, and when that urge reaches a critical point, I will either explode or start writing with a fury.

I hope it's the latter.

Social life is great. I'm meeting new women left and right, most of whom aren't worth my time but a fair number of whom are. And, as always, my friends are awesome. My friends are the ones who make my life great, and I make sure that any awesomeness in my life is shared among them.

Actually, I had one weird moment last night talking with this one girl Kaitlyn. She referred to me as "my hot monster." Great, overall, but I'm not a fan of women using the posessive modifier for my nickname. It has, in the past, been an indicator of feelings of attachment that are not reciprocated (i.e. Blair, who had to have it explained to her that when we broke up I was no longer "hers"). I talked with her about that, though, and she has the same feeling of committment that I do.

My friend Roman put it best.

"You know why they call it a committed relationship? Because you'd have to be crazy to get in one."

So yeah. Break's over, but more later.

I started writing something today during my lunch break.

It's going to be fairly short, but it's really twisted and very tense.

It's called "Plastic Eyes."
