View Full Version : New Lost Thread - for those who saw the premiere
SecretSamadhi 09-22-2005, 11:46 AM :eek3:
Wow.
First of all - I am really surprised we learned as much about the hatch as we did. Really surprised.
Second - how creepy was the Walt/Shannon scene??
Third - Why didn't anything happen at the camp?
Four - wassup with the guy from the Stadium? I thought it was a flashback at first, but apparently not! What is he shooting into himself? And why is he 'quarantined'
I can't freaking wait til next week! :nice:
lunar 09-22-2005, 12:04 PM SO good!! i'm totally hooked... that whole thing at the end with hatch was really intense. i loved the storyline about the girl who had the surgery... hope we see more about that next week.
Mr. Know It All 09-22-2005, 12:06 PM What about the raft? Didn't even show what happened to them...
argh!
Definetely a good show.
lunar 09-22-2005, 12:13 PM yeah, i was wondering what happened to the little boy too
igofast 09-22-2005, 01:12 PM What was in the hatch?
smalltown_honey 09-22-2005, 01:34 PM This season seems to be just as exciting to watch as last years was. Its nice to have something to look forward to watching on tv.
SecretSamadhi 09-22-2005, 02:16 PM What was in the hatch?
A guy is living down there - circa 1972 or so. He works out, eats protein shakes, shoots up with some weird drug
And while Jack was going through the surgery that brought him and his wife together, he was running steps in a stadium, and ran into this really nice guy and that had a chat.
That's the guy in the hatch. And he didn't look at all surprised to see Jack.
In fact, his last words to him were 'See you in another life'
:eek3:
MKIA - I was surprised to see the 'lack' of raft members in the episode, expect for Walt's disturbing appearance.
Dr_EluSivE 09-22-2005, 05:06 PM :eek3:
Wow.
First of all - I am really surprised we learned as much about the hatch as we did. Really surprised.
i agree, i thought for sure they would drag that out longer..
Second - how creepy was the Walt/Shannon scene??
That scene confuses me.. Did it really happen? Can she "see" things? the fact that they didnt flash to the raft at all makes it even more puzzling
Third - Why didn't anything happen at the camp?
Either A) the others were too busy torching the raft at sea,
B) the others dont exist and the french chick is nuts.
Four - wassup with the guy from the Stadium? I thought it was a flashback at first, but apparently not! What is he shooting into himself? And why is he 'quarantined'
Another puzzler. the label was on the Inside of the hatch.. whats outside? was it built to withstand a bio threat that never came? or something else? And the guy in the stadium said "see in the next life" Almost like he Knew he would meet jack again.. Creepy.
I can't freaking wait til next week! :nice:
:nice: :nice:
Dr.
ResidentRice 09-22-2005, 06:07 PM You know, maybe all of those theories that the 815 people are the real only survivors of a massive worldwide catastrophe are right. And the hatch-guy is psychic/powerful enough to have made Jack's surgery successful and to have brought him onto the island.
Maybe every theory I've heard of has some validity to it and I'm so obsessed with this show that I'll believe anything for a day or 2 just because its interesting.
SecretSamadhi 09-23-2005, 04:07 PM I spent a lot of time surfing about Lost today - and found out more than I wanted to know :|
I won't tell you, but what I wanted to share is that people have already figured out what Walt was saying to Shannon.
He's speaking backwards, what he says is 'Don't Push the Button' '{No** button is bad' ( The 'No' isn't a postive.)
Also, if you listen to it forwards , as we saw on the show - you can hear someone who sounds an awful lot like Boone whisper 'Shannon' right before she cries out seeing Walt. :eek3:

ResidentRice 09-23-2005, 07:39 PM I honestly got chills reading your post........
Terrapin 09-23-2005, 08:10 PM I wanted to see what happened to the people on the raft..but I guess they're showing that this week..(according to TV guide)..
I like the background music they play..it definitly adds to the creepiness.of the show... :nice:
SecretSamadhi 09-28-2005, 08:16 PM Its on Baby!!! :eek3:
They are replaying last week's first, and I just saw the Walt scene. Its so damn freaky!! :|
SecretSamadhi 09-28-2005, 09:44 PM Wow, this one is really strange. :|
Dr_EluSivE 09-28-2005, 10:06 PM DAMMIT!! They left us in the Exact same place! you learned alot, but locke, jack, and kate are STILL in peril.. Why must you make me wait another week????

SecretSamadhi 09-29-2005, 10:42 AM Did you notice Desmond didn't seem to remember Jack at all?
He did say 'See you in another life?' :|
Terrapin 09-29-2005, 10:43 AM I can't wait until next week :nice:
SecretSamadhi 09-29-2005, 10:49 AM I can't wait until next week :nice:
You and me both sister! :nice:
I watched it for like 5-10 minutes, had no clue what was going on, got up and left.
Terrapin 09-29-2005, 10:55 AM I watched it for like 5-10 minutes, had no clue what was going on, got up and left.
that's cause you missed last season :p
SecretSamadhi 09-29-2005, 10:56 AM I watched it for like 5-10 minutes, had no clue what was going on, got up and left.
Yeah, its tough. You kinda have to watch it from the beginning.
**Puts ĘSiR down for Season 1 Lost on DVD for Christmas! **
that's cause you missed last season :p
Yep... I hate series-type shows... because I have usually never heard of it until season 1 is nearly complete... then I just  cause even if it's the greatest show ever, I'll never know what the hell is going on. ...and then even when you do watch on from the beginning you are bound to miss a few, and get completely lost.
Sure they play re-runs, but they are out of order, so it's even more confusing.
Yeah, its tough. You kinda have to watch it from the beginning.

Yeah, then I have to buy every season that comes out after that... because season 2 has allready started... etc...
I'll stick with Stargate SG-1 though... I'm a few seasons behind on that as well. TV's not my thing I guess... Besides, I can brush up on my egyptology or mayan culture books while the girlfriend stares at the Television.

igofast 09-29-2005, 12:59 PM Ok, I watched last week's episode when they went into the hatch and it was pretty interesting, so I watched last night's as well. It SUCKED. Who gives a **** about the black dude's back story with his kid? So he never saw his kid. Who cares? And the whole crap with him and the dude on the raft and the shark was just DUMB time killer. It wasn't interesting, it wasn't thrilling, it didn't advance the story, it was pointless. And half the crap inside the hatch was stuff we've already seen.
Last night's episode was "we need this mystery to last all season, so let's spread things out and have a few pointless episodes that don't really say anything."
I also am extremely sceptical of the show in that I think the writers/creaters are making things up as they go along and there really is no master plan to what's going on. The problem with this is it will eventually become some convoluted, self-indulgent, over the top piece of turd. Sort of what happened to the x-files.
SecretSamadhi 09-29-2005, 01:12 PM Jojo - a few things...
They did a flashback before in Season 1 with Michael and how he loses Walt. Its really sad, and his 'wife' was a biatch. He actually got hit by a car when he first heard she was leaving him with the baby... I think it was to show us that he told Walt he will always love him, and he actually looks like he understands.
The shark - well, if you look at it, it has the same symbol on it as the food Kate finds.
its not your typical shark..that's for sure.
igofast 09-29-2005, 01:14 PM I'm not jojo. :)
Ok, fine, but it was still a pointless and slow episode. Every bit of information given in the episode could have been presented in about 15 minutes.

D'oh, sorry Jed. :D
Mr. Know It All 09-29-2005, 02:21 PM I'm getting real tired of the constant advertisments each week of "questions will be answered" "the purpose will be revealed" etc
Good god! They hardly ever answer anything.
Anyhow, I loved it as normal. Just sick of the promos.
SecretSamadhi 09-29-2005, 02:32 PM I just read on a Lost board that they have a 6 year contract, and the whole story is done.
Crazy, eh?
Mr. Know It All 09-29-2005, 03:06 PM Strange
igofast 09-29-2005, 03:12 PM The creators say they know what the story is, that everything has been planned all along. Someone that left the show after the first season (I forget who, I think it was an exec producer) says that's complete bull**** and they've been making it up as they go along. I tend to believe the guy that left the show.
Mr. Know It All 09-29-2005, 03:14 PM Maybe a general overview at most. They would have to perform a rewrite if a major actor was killed or left the show for a different reason.

Yeah, that's David Fury and I'd believe him too. He emailed us a few weeks ago, and didn't say anything about the future of Lost, just told us he would be writing on 24.
caddis 09-29-2005, 04:00 PM Did you notice Desmond didn't seem to remember Jack at all?
You just gave me the idea that maybe it wasn't the same man. Maybe the Island was used for genetic research and cloning...it may also explain the strange beasts and "sickness" and the quarantine sign
SecretSamadhi 10-12-2005, 12:01 PM TGIW!!!!
Wednesday is now the best day of the week. :nice:
smalltown_honey 10-12-2005, 12:24 PM Yes I always look forward to watching it now.
caddis 10-12-2005, 12:31 PM I don't like the fact it's on an hour later this year...cut's into my beauty sleep

You said it , Sister!! :nice:
Jimmy Changa 10-16-2005, 04:18 PM I can't help but think the writers of Lost are the same guys who made the games Myst and Riven. *rolls eyes*
ResidentRice 10-17-2005, 06:55 AM There will be no rolling of eyes concerning the show "lost" by decree of all that is good and holy.
And, we got an emoticon for that, too btw. Its a pretty popular one here.

Terrapin 10-19-2005, 10:06 PM bah!! we have to wait 3 weeks!!
ResidentRice 10-20-2005, 01:28 AM So there aren't going to be any new episodes for 3 weeks? What a crock....
I like where this season is going, though. Interesting stuff right now, the inclusion of the second group of survivors should be good.
nemolover 10-20-2005, 01:43 PM I'm so bummed that we have to wait! I want to know who is going to be "lost forever"
