As mentioned in a different thread, I managed to see Frank do a show a few days ago. After a few songs with his Yamaha custom double neck, I asked if he was going to reveal his special tuning on the bottom neck to which he replied "someday." There were only about 40 or so people in the bar, but it is understandable since the tuning system is patent pending. Rick Fierabracci was on bass and Joel Taylor on drum. Otmaro Ruis was on keys for some songs which were unnecessary for the most part. Rick and Joel were amazing. They had not played together in a year or two and Frank had provided them with sheet music. Their first rehearsal was that afternoon, but the performance was incredible.

Gambale Guitar Nouveau tuning.

For those who don't already know I'm having a blast with a new tuning I've discovered......I can't believe it only took 37 years to figure it out.....it's VERY cool in the sense of being able to play close intervals like the piano without little or no difficulty. You can even play 4 chromatic notes simultaneously if you want!!! You can also play it like a normal guitar if you want chord shape-wise. New territory...............It's featured heavily on my new Raison D'Etre album. I'll be revealing the tuning as soon as I compile a book and publish it with the music from my Raison D'etre album.
