Monster 09-16-2005, 11:54 PM My mother had a CT scan and bloodwork done to make sure that her cancer is still gone. This was the two year anniversary, and if cancer patients beat the first two years, their risk of having a recurrance drops a great deal lower.
...Her bloodwork showed miniscule increases in what the doc called "cancer markers." No cancer yet, but if these miniscule increases don't go away, it could come back.
We'll know more in a few more months, when she goes in for her next round of tests, but yeah.
I want it gone.

Monster 09-17-2005, 01:10 AM She beat it before, I just don't want her to go through the whole ordeal of having to beat it again.
But we won't know anything until at least December, and even then it's not a guarantee. I'm not going to worry about it until I have something to worry about. I just...needed to get it said, is all.

Bloodwork is FINE. Everything is at or exceeding healthy/normal levels.
No cancer.
I'm gonna say that one again, just because it felt so damn good.

Monster 12-09-2005, 03:43 PM It's actually really great timing for the results too, because my parents left this morning for a 10-day vacation in Hawai'i. And now my mom gets to enjoy it knowing that her cancer won't be coming back.
I'm really so happy for her. :)
