It comes as no suprise that Bush's commitment to rebuilding the Gulf area will involve channel billions and billions more tax dollars to his corporate cronies. For the long-term rebuilding project, the short list of NO-BID contract recipients naturally include Bechtel and Halliburtion, Bush's corporate partners in the Iraq War. This blank check to his buddies will push the national defecit into an unbelievable range while causing unimaginable economic repercussions.

Congress is now probing these contracts.

Obviously you will vent your outrage about that as well, right?

Obviously I didn't see the similar thread in the other forum, your first link, but as to your second link, it appears as if you (as you said) basically reworded that first article to demonstrate the governor was also guilty of cronyism, and then referred to the first article as a spoof of the second rewritten one....what was the point of that? The governor's wrongs do not excuse those of the president, so I fail to see any purpose in your little presentation.

It comes as no suprise that Bush's commitment to rebuilding the Gulf area will involve channel billions and billions more tax dollars to his corporate cronies. It's a choice between Bush's corporate cronies or the Democrat's corporate cronies.

For the long-term rebuilding project, the short list of NO-BID contract recipients naturally include Bechtel and Halliburtion...Has it been decided that there will be a long-term rebuilding project?

No matter who gets the contracts, some will always look for even ONE company with ties to Bush and yell "Aha!". Find the best companies for the job, and get out of the way.

At this point, I just assume that a politician is going to exploit a disaster for personal gain, unless somehow it is proven otherwise.
If we had a window into the bank accounts of Blanco, Bush, and various other politicians related to the Katrina disaster, then I bet we wouldn't see the ledger balance going down.
