Well, you might be able to answer this one logically.
Most of the original inhabitants of North America were wiped out by disease and war. The populations are increasing for these groups now, but I doubt there are enough native people left to manage all of North America.
And, you need to specify what you mean by original inhabitant. Because, as more is learned about human migration to North America, it looks like several people and cultures existed here, and were subsequently wiped out by the next wave of migrating settlers.
