...is one of my worst faults! :P
When I took a break from DA a few weeks ago, I decided to create a new website... (instead of updating a personal site that I already have.) So I worked on it during that time, and it was looking good... but then I put that project on the back burner, and still haven't gotten back to it. :nonono: I have less than 3 weeks left to do everything, including finish that site, cause once I leave to Hawaii I'm gonna have NO time!
So... maybe I should ask to be temp banned for this weekend, and I'll work on finishing that site... :o I'm kidding, but... you all know this site is addicting.
I also have other things I gotta do... go through all my stuff, give away things I don't need to Goodwill, put the rest of it in storage, etc. Not fun... but i'm used to moving, i've moved so many times in my life...I can't wait for the day i finally settle down!
It would be nice if I had some help with building this site... with the content, I mean. But I think that's what I'm going to devote this weekend to.
Ras Bizarre High 09-10-2005, 05:50 AM awww....I'm drinking cheap wine to try and put me to sleep (fermented tonight)....I've been having really bad insomnia lately...it hasn't been this bad since I was a kid....a lot of weird stuff going on.
Geez, excuse me, I didn't mean to commandeer your journal for my own ramblings there. I actuay meant to ask what the site is about? If it's about drafting Colin Powell to run for president then I'll write the entire thing for you. Or if its against the social contract.

LOL... you crack me up. Um, don't laugh but the site is gonna be called, "from ashes to beauty" (from Isaiah 61:3) and it's going to have all sorts of stuff.... articles and a whole christian section... a section on politics/issues... then some inspirational stuff like quotes, poems, images.... and I think i'll have a section where people can post their own testimonies, and other pages too.
And i've been creating it using notepad! :D I can get a screen shot of it, and post it... if you want to see what I have so far. (the main page)
I'm sorry you have insomnia, btw.
Ehhh... the screen shot of the main page didn't work well when it's resized. And it's not up on the web yet, so... when it's done i'll post a link! :)
Ras Bizarre High 09-10-2005, 06:13 AM Thanks for the empathy...
Of course I wanna see it. I'm such a lazy moron- you make creating a website sound so easy. For all the time I waste on the internet I couldn't make a website to save my life...I see thirteen year-olds with their own pages now....and I barely know how to put sentences in italics on a message board.. And I've taken two college-level computer classes...and got A's in both. Sometimes I think I have some weird mental defiency that went undiagnosed as a kid. Where I can seem really smart sometimes but in fact I'm a jackass.
definitely post a pic/link when you get a chance. sounds like a cool site.
Thanks ras! :) Basic HTML is actually not that hard once you learn the codes. I'm sure you could learn it if you wanted to. And there's tons of tutorials on the web. Of course now people are using other ways of creating sites... like Flash. That's what I want to learn.
I know what you mean about kids with computers... i've seen teenagers with more advanced, well designed sites than some adults. :D It's easy for them cause they grew up using the computer.
well... i should try to go to sleep now. i'm going back to my nocturnal schedule... which is not good!
see ya!

Procrastination...is one of my worst faults! :P
I was gonna start a Procrastinators Anonymous group, but I never got around to it. ;)
but i'm used to moving, i've moved so many times in my life...I can't wait for the day i finally settle down!
I was trying to think of all the times you've moved since I met you, but I keep losing count. You don't stick around long enough to be on people's speed-dial. :p

Do you know any other fellow Christian conservative webmasters? ;)

You keep going back on Hawaii time. No wonder you keep going back :p
(re-reads response... two winks... twice sticking out tongue... I'm smilie-dependent... darnit)

Haha... my good friends always tell me that I mess up their address books. Cause they keep having to cross out and change the address every couple years. Oh well... maybe the way my parents brought me up moving a lot rubbed off on me. Hopefully it won't always be like that though. :)

Hmmm... actually, I do! :D I'll keep that in mind.. right now I'm just trying to get the 'skeleton,' if you will, of the site put together.... and then after that I'll add all the content.
Thanks Alan. And yeah, you do use the smileys alot. :D You don't misuse them though, like some folks do! :P just kidding.
Terrapin 09-11-2005, 10:41 AM Being I'm a big procrastinator myself I went through my clothes and stuff months ago and gave a whole load to the Goodwill :nice:
