Males or Females

I find this more of a humerous discussion so I put it here.

Now, I want people to express their feelings in a calm matter or my machette will get the best of you. :hmm:

Who has higher expectations, leading to a tougher and constant pushing life, Dady's little girl, or lit cigar to the arm-this is what you get for spilling paint in the garage son?

We DO spoil our little girls and sometimes even our wives but there's a cold cruel world out there that doesn't care if she's cute or pretty.

My Daddy had the girls work as hard as the guys. Typical chore for me as a kid....here's a sledgehammer, take down the barnyard fence (made of logs), pound out the spikes, and pile the logs behind the chicken coop..

Personal experience:-

Female operator taken on by company she states that she can do anything a man can do and considers any doubts about this o be sexist.

Day 1:- Part of the job is loading paper into printers - she is not as strong a a man - can she be excused from this - personnel officer says okay.

Week 2 - she is not happy about coming into work after dark - note company has sealed car park - automatic gates + 24x7 security + security offers her a walk to the car - she is now excused night shift working.

Week 5 she does not like evening shift - she does not like going into the car park - it makes her nervous. okay she now only works days and week ends.

week 8 does not like working week ends the deserted car park makes her nervous (please note where she parks she has only two yards to go to the main security office manned 24x7 and is in view all the time plus on TV monitor ) ok she does not work weekends.

The reports we have to distirbute in the morning are quite big, does she have to take them round, can't the night shift do that for her?

THe remaining male operators who have to cover all the antisocial shifts, evening, night and weekends point out that :-

She is only doing half the job, and no longer works shift - should she still be claiming the payments for working shift 24x7?

Miss X throws a tantrum - she does everything the male operaors do do - she should get shift etc. Personnel agrees male operators told to leave if they don't like it.

Girls have it hard ROFL.

It really depends on the person. If a girl is a spoiled little rich brat, opposed to the hard working poor guy, then yes, girls got it easier. But guys do get spoiled too, and there are girls aren't considered Daddy's little girl. (*points to self* I got proof, dammit!)

I hated working in Texas, there is still so much sexism its unbelievable. In California there is much more equality.

2. I report to the Sr. VP of Finance & Administration, and hence have access to a great deal of confidential data.

3. During salary review time, I find out that the men in the training program are paid exactly 2 times my salary.

4. I tell my boss that the difference in compensation confuses me.

5. He tells me that men need to be paid more because they have to pay for entertainment.

I'll agree that's wrong, same work same pay, less work less pay, as for entertainment, I assume you pay you share of the tab (is the phrase "Go Dutch"?) so equals there, too. point is, most of the women I tell that tale to say the equivalent of "And your problem is.....?"

If so, wouldn't that mean that the world would then balance out since you are using a free entertainment medium during office hours, ergo you do not have to pay for entertainment? Logic is amusing. In short, Bo is using company time and resources (the internet during the hours she is supposed to work) to entertain herself with items that have absolutely nothing to do with her job. Therefore, she does not need to be paid as much as her male counterparts who actually work during company time and go out to buy entertainment. In other words, she works less so she should be paid less. Simple as that.

Oh dear, I really hate it when people quote FL (quoting is the one defect in the otherwise quite customer friendly IGNORE feature). But now that I have seen his VILE comments, here is my response:

I have the kind of job where I work odd hours. I am on my email and phone early in the morning and late at night, in addition to being in the office during the regular work day. I get my job done - and my employer (not the one that paid men twice as much as women, btw), is very happy with my job performance. I am not paid by the hour - I am paid for results.

Given that you have probably never worked at anything other than minimum wage jobs (given your tender 18 years on this planet), I don't expect you to understand what being paid for results really means. Maybe someday you will know - as long as you avoid a dead-end liberal arts major.

I blame this on gas prices. Ever since gas prices have gone up, dance prices have followed. It's like $30 for one song just toppless. :mad:
