After closing their investigation in July, the agency reopened it due to more complaints of SUV's catching on fire.
Greensboro, NC -- The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration will take another look at the problems with the Honda CR-V oil change fires.

"You shouldn't be afraid that it would catch on fire," says Tommie Roberts. "And I was afraid to drive it."
Tommie Roberts contacted Call for Action about her 2004 Honda CR-V. It caught on fire after the first oil change.
Honda says oil from the filter leaked onto the engine causing the fire.
"I was scared. Scared for her life. Scared for .. my grandchildren could have easily been in the car. I was scared for their safety," says Roberts.
Call for Action helped Roberts with her CR-V. Also Honda said it began notifying dealers and other places that do oil changes in July, but had no plans to notify individual owners.
"I certainly would want to be notified. I think it's a responsibility of the dealership and of Honda to notify if they are aware of this," says Roberts.
And now Honda just might have to do that. 20 more owners filed complaints about their cars catching on fire after the July notification.
