I appreciated your thread and I'd have replied there but you closed it and that's ok.
I've had some experience with poverty and tragedy. You take whatever help is offered. You don't worry whether the person is your color or your belief system. You listen to their lectures, they always have lectures-but somewhere down deep you know this person is doing something for you because they care.
You have to forget your squabbles and you have to appeal to people you don't like for help and it makes you grow-you learn that you were wrong for not liking at least some of them.
Some of our members haven't digested this kind of truth,I don't feel superior to them-I do feel they're missing out on one of the more beautiful things life has to offer.
Thank you,Katalina-I think we're on the same page.

I've haven't walked down your path Mike, but I suspect my footsteps fell near.
I have been the one in need. It's not a nice place to be, financially, physically, spiritually. By the grace of God, I hope I never find myself in need like that again. I am forever indebted to so many. There is no way to repay, my only solace is that I remember what I have seen, work hard to never go back, and to keep paying it forward.
People, on the whole, are a wonderful lot. Bless them.
