yesterday after watching an episode of the brilliant but shortlived A minute with Stan Hooper (with the excellent Norm McDonald as Stan Hooper), it occured to me that not alot of programmes are based outside of the big cities or big urban areas

like the 2 examples of shows that aren't that i can think of are That 70's Show and A minute with Stan Hooper (both based in small towns in Wisconsin i think)

sure even with irish television, their's hardly a show based outside of a big urban area (in irish terms)

so what other programmes can you think of that ween't based in cities or big urban areas

Hmmm...good question!

You can probably tell that I don't watch much TV because the first one (maybe the only one) that comes to my mind would be Green Acres.
