I recently met this girl Kaitlyn through Rocky. Cool chick, cool friend, blah blah blah.
Y'know.
Anyway, she's headed up to Stockton, CA for college (University of the Pacific), and last night she called me and informed me that I was going to be spending some time hanging out with her before she left. I, not being brave enough to challenge the instructions that I was given, acquiesced and went over to her place to hang with her for awhile.
The out of character part of this is that she's pretty into me, and her parents were home. Now, I normally avoid meeting parents of girls who are interested in me (even--as with this situation--as a casual thing) AT ALL COSTS. I'm not about meeting parents.
Funny thing, though. She's not batsh*t crazy, and she didn't tell me that her parents were either. Turns out, they're not. Amazing, isn't it? She's not crazy, and neither are her parents. It was pretty much all gravy hanging out there. No weird comments, no awkwardness, nothing bad.
I still don't like meeting parents, but this was definitely a welcome exception to my historic trend.
I quite like finally having a girl attracted to me who isn't crazy.
Y'know.
