OK, I'll try to keep this short. Here's the situation...

On top of trying to get my Tbird going, (which I've just about accomplished:) ), I'm also trying to restore my F-100 to at least decent, presentable condition. I've been trying to find replacement wood for the bed floor. The local Ford resto shop could order an Oak bed kit for it, but for the gawdawful price of $270. All for 8 lousy pre-cut planks.

Anybody know a place that I can buy/order a replacement set cheaper than that? It's a 1980 F-100 flare side with a 6' bed BTW.:)

ever thought about fabbing one yourself? as far as the wood part goes. I assume you could reuse your mounts and trim etc, right? That would be kewl and you can say you did it yourself :D

what year Tbird you got? post some pics!

Good Oak is no joke! $270 is not bad. I would just call some local lumber yards. 84 or home depot might even have it but you may need to go to a real lumber and fine trim shop. I miss my old 72 F100 with the built/all chome 302, hurst T-handle shifter and chrome foot pedel. Bahama blue with chrome wagon wheels. I had that and a 67 GTO all through college 10-12 years ago. The F100 was faster!! :D but the red rag top GTO got me more p**** ;)
