Just wondering which store everybody uses to buy and download their music?

Is it one of these (http://legal-music.info/allservices/?PHPSESSID=62a67150a8b4fe68f17ffbaa710c8124), or something else?

I usually buy music from Amazon or Half.com depending on price. I don't download.

Amazon.com for me. My wife uses itunes occasionally.
I have no interest in downloading music via the web. No time or bandwith (I have dial up at home).

Amazon if/when I actually buy cds.
Only because it's what I used in the past, and they actually store credit card info, so I can just go in there and click and buy.... not having to enter all my info ever damn time.

I use real.com.
i have been downloading all my music lately. it's just too easy.

^How much is it per song? I just went legit w/ iTunes yesterday, I still don't like the DRM facter, and I think it could be a bit cheaper, but at least you know what your getting, and you don't have to wait for a connection to another user thru a P2P network.

Incidently, buying a CD means you're not just paying for the songs, you're paying for the CD, packaging, shipping, middle-men, etc. Buying a CD on Amazon (not Amazon Maketplace) is, on average, more than buying a full album iTunes.

I like Itunes and Emusic is okay....I havent downloaded from any of the other ones yet, though. This list is pretty helpful though....

www.djangos.com (good for used cd's and buy new off them every now and then when they have free shipping in bulk)
www.play.com (depending if they have offers)

and then from Virgin, HMV when they have good special offers. Somehow I never got into downloading unless it was to see if a band were good, I like shiny discs of joy too much !!!

does anybody here use epitonic? I just found out about this site today and it's pretty cool. Lots of good stuff. Not a lot of mainstream titles but definitely some selections you wouldnt be able to find on Itunes or its ilk....I like that table the original poster linked to above. Real helpful, thanks! :nice:
