This is because the only citizens who get involved anymore are the freaks ,nuts and perverts . Before long this will be a crime to say . Thank your local sheep for this ,who refuse to speak out . I see only libs at commish meetings .

The local left wing media bends over backwards to protect her.Local conservatives are in abundance in Georgia. They are good at keeping taxes fairly low, but very slow in reacting to problems like traffic congestion. Of course the EPA has played a role here as well. Rather than widen the road, the EPA seems to think it's better to sit for half an hour in traffic everyday for several years.

I am happy with Tom Suozzi who is the county executive of Nassau County. He pretty much fixed the mess that Tom Gulotta left behind. During the 90's when we had the economic "boom" Nassau was deep in debt due to careless spending and poor bookeeping. When the people got fed up with it, we voted Gulotta out.

The taxes are still high and the cost of houses is ridiculous, but there really isnt too much we can do about that.

Well, one positive thing I can say about my little hometown's local politicians: Not a one of them are anything approaching a liberal. :p

the planning board, city council, and our "still in the closet" mayor all suck, hardcore. they're pushing out small, local business/homes, tearing everything down, and trying to turn the city into a big hotel/condo community. yet they don't do anything to stop all the latino and black crime downtown. :P

My suburb is growing like mad and doing well economically. Our local politicians do a nice job keeping everyone involved in certain decission making processes. Thus, I have no problems with my local politicans. Maybe except for a few that do not represent my area. Marilyn Musgrave and Tom Tancredo are the main problem makers.

I like Denver's mayor but that really has little to do with my own wellbeing.

I really like Mayor Moonbeam Jerry Brown. Just as only Nixon could go to China, only Jerry could bring Capitalism to Oaktown.

I despise Barbara Lee, Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer.
