SHARM EL-SHEIK, Egypt - Egyptian police searched for clues Sunday and struggled to identify bodies from the 88 people killed in three bomb blasts that rocked this Red Sea resort, sending foreign tourists scrambling to catch flights home.

More than 70 people have been detained in Sharm el-Sheik and elsewhere on the Sinai Peninsula for questioning over the bombings early Saturday. But none have been accused of involvement in Egypt's deadliest-ever terror attack, said security officials, who declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the inquiry....

Two rival claims of responsibility have emerged but neither statement could be authenticated.

One group, the Abdullah Azzam Brigades of al-Qaida in Syria and Egypt, also claimed responsibility for the October bombings in Taba and for a dual shooting-bomb attack in April in Cairo.

Also, the previously unknown Holy Warriors of Egypt discounted the al-Qaida claim and said it had carried out Saturday's attack in Sharm.

Bar staff at one resort tried to restore the cheer, flipping drink bottles in the air as they prepared fruit cocktails for guests.

"The purpose of terrorism is they think we will run (but) the answer is no," said Franz Weinlich, a doctor from Frankfurt who spent the day diving and lazing on the beach. "I don't like to dance to the music of terrorism."

Franz is my kinda guy. :nice:

Hope he gets laid tonight,

Or, Muslims blow up more muslims...

I wonder how the muslims who were related to the muslims feel about being blown up by muslims? Maybe we shouldn't paint with a broad brush? Or am I a muslim too?

You are making thinks much too simplistic.
Not all muslims are the same and stuff...
Too obvious for any practical conclution.
Egypt is an enemy for islamists, because it is trying not to let radical islam in the country to gain power.
But it is gaining power there.
The fact that not all muslims are the same should not stop us from looking into the real dangers of radical islam spreading.

The problem is that "radical islam spreading" is not something theoretical.
It means that many muslims have dangerous word view and successfully teaching it to more and more muslims.

I think I understand where you are caming from ... Holland.
But Holland is hardly an example of place where anti-muslim talk is allowed and widely accepted.
And still it is a place where in the first stresfull situation people started to do things...
So I don't think that danger for anti-muslim riots cames from talking, specially from talking about (and not ignoring) real danger. Probably on the contrary.

^ True, but thumper's racest attitude is getting out of hand, even if he does provide proof for his quoted articles.

I'm getting that Arcova feeling.

O, this kind of thing will stop by itself the minute people will loose interest.
Till now it seems that the facts he is posting are relevant and interesting despite his general approach.

Aswer to what?
"Hate of muslims" is too wide a subject, and can be disscussed if a context is clear.

thats teh question I asked, and yes hate of muslims is a too wide subject, that the whole point of my question. Im getting a bit sick of having to read about muslims while were talking about extremists. its a mistake and an attitude like that does a lot of damage. I mean, even bush can see the difference, and he isnt the smartest person on earth.

Iit looks like that most of the people are not thinking that all muslims are terrorists.
I do think, I suppose I'm not the only one, that the majority of muslims stand is part of the problem.
Anyway the only place in western word where there was till now some reasons to worry because of the hate to muslims is Holland, and I did refered to that.
And this is a prove that "politically correct" speach, you are worried about now, is not what is preventing the hate.
