View Full Version : Help out a punk band in need!
AverageJoe 05-01-2002, 04:13 PM i'm sure most of you know about Walk the Line now, we're a hardcore punk band from L.A. we posted one of our songs on a website where people can vote on it, and it would be great if you guys could go and rate it, because the higher our rank is the more people will hear it. go to
http://www.epitaph.com/demolition/index.html?Range=T-Z
and we should be listed among the bands. it's in order of highest voting percentage, not alphabetical, but we should be within ni first few.it should only take a second; thanks for your time.

if those guys arent asleep, it should get you some votes. Lets just hope they dont think its fishy if there's 600 high votes, but no downloads :D
Jastang 05-01-2002, 05:49 PM "Why aren't these guys on Epitaph yet?" vote has been logged.
Can I give my opinion of the song?? Thank you!!
I like it. I like it until the singer starts screaming. I know, I know, it's punk and you're supposed to scream. But I like his singing voice better.
I'm not big on punk, but do I hear a Bad Religion influence in there? I like them.

thanks man, i really appreciate the vote AND the link!
and Jastang, we are influenced by bad religion, theyre one of my favorite bands. i guess we're a little more hardcore though. to me, its all about the contrast between the screamed part and the sung part, but whatever floats your vote (hehe i mean boat).
Redfield 05-01-2002, 06:24 PM Another vote for you guys.

Yeah. I liked it. You guys are pretty tight.:D
Snouter 05-01-2002, 11:34 PM I gave you a "Are these guys on Epitaph yet?" vote for you under the condition that you do something about the noticable, seemingly off-beat bass drum.
Jastang 05-02-2002, 12:24 AM I think I need to say some more about what I was sayin earlier. I was just thinkin about my old band. We called ourselves a mix between Pink Floyd and Pantera. We had these trippy, flowing, soaring parts with pretty vocals. (Not poppy!!) And we also had the heaviest, screaming, insane parts that we could possibly handle!
While most of our friends dug the heavy stuff and got down just as hard as we did to it, there were always people saying, "Why does he scream like that, I can't even undertand what he's saying." ARGGHH!!!
Without those heavy parts, our band wasn't complete and we wouldn't be being ourselves without them.
So, I just wanted to say that so that you know I support you doing your thing 100%.
Edit: Oh, and I also admire how graciously you accept critisism. Best of Luck! You guys rock!

I hadnt noticed the bass drum cause I wasnt there when they mixed it. Its definately sounds a little wierd the way it sticks out underneath everything. HMMMMMMMmmmm....
Thanks for the votes too guys.
AverageJoe 05-02-2002, 01:48 AM yeah thank for all the votes. as of now we're kicking ***, but keep them coming if you can so we can stay there. more of our stuff can be heard at
its not stuff to vote one because we can only post one song on that site, its just other stuff we have. listen and critique if you want. the second song was done in the same session as the one you guys voted on and its better quality than the other 3 we have listed.
DotCom 05-02-2002, 11:59 AM I think ya'll sound great!
