Last year my SAAB broke the belt tensioner assembly. The thing just broke right off, so I lost the power steering, radiator pump, air conditioning, and alternator. It took freaking forever to find someone to fix it, at great expense...
Well, guess what happened yesterday. IT HAPPENED AGAIN! IT JUST BROKE RIGHT THE **** OFF!
So I'm a little pissy.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking about fixing it, selling it, and getting that 280zx I've always wanted to restore.

I am no fan of Sweetish cars. Had LOTs of bad experiences. The car talk guys are always saying they are POS too. Get the Z or an old mustang ;)

The entire assembly costs a little over $200, but last time I didn't buy the whole thing, just the mounting point. The people I went to for repairs said it would cost them $500 for the part, so I went to a parts place in LA and got it for like $70. I gave em a reeeeal ugly look for that one... buncha crooks.

Well, this is a '91 Saab 9000. A lot can change in 11 years.
Besides, other than that one problem, it is a very dependable car.

Those 9000 have a real bad rep for being expensive to own. Their clutch slave cyl go bad in them and you have to take out the tranny to get to it.

Go for the Z. I had a 79 280 ZX and it was the most fun to drive car I've ever been in. I'd love to have another one if it had more than 2 seats.
