I once read in the classifieds about a guy who dropped a 350 in his Miata. He called it the "Monster Miata". He wanted like 15 grand for it.
Don't bother looking for it, this was years ago when I saw it.
pitch, there's a company that makes em now :)
and geoff, its in dutch yeah, but i'm sure there's gonna be english articles soon on some website
Wow, it looks much sportier, and much less 'girly.'

Paint it orange, and we'll call it the 2003 Goldfish.

The new Miata is a hard top? That's just not right...
Looks sort of like the new RX7, this one is a 2+2 with 250 horsepower.

I was thinking painting it brown and call it a Catfish but our first impressions were basically the same. ;) The more I look at that front "mouth" the more it looks like the Shelby Cobras of the 60's though.
There are some nicer prototypes I think that don't look like so ricey.
Here is a special edition one and it is still a vert.

A 302 powered Miata has been available for years. Go see Monster Miata. It`s a well executed car, priced in the 50s.
By the way, you muscle car buffs, if you have never driven a Miata (stock one), do so. You may find that it is one of the most enjoyable cars sold, and a bargain for the money. A base model can be had for less than 20k.
