I know I was going to post this a long time ago, but oh well... I'm doing it now! :) I already posted some Malaysia photos, these are of Indonesia...

Our team (with the exception of one family with small kids who stayed behind in Malaysia) took a boat from Malaysia to Indonesia, and we stayed and worked at an orphanage for 3 weeks, in Medan. It was awesome and all of us had a really blessed and memorable time there!

It's going to take too long to upload all of these to my webspace, so I'll just try to post them as attachments...

The first one is a few of us on the boat, it was a 5 hour boat ride, I think... The second pic is of MiYoung (the Korean girl on our team) and Amber, hanging out with some people on the deck of the boat.

btw, there are TONS of pics, so this is going to take a long time... I probably won't post them all tonight, there are too many!

LOL! I did? :( I hope it wasn't the way we looked! :P We actually didn't get sea-sick, fortunately! We took those dramanine pills beforehand.

More.... the last one is the room 7 of us single girls stayed in. :D There were 3 sets of bunk beds and one big bed. It was quite an experience! :p The kids at the orphanage were so great... we fell in love with them!

One of the things that we were really amazed by, was the passion these kids have, for God, and singing and prayer. The kids sing songs (praise/worship) in the morning, then again in the evening.... it was one of the things that really touched us, these kids were inspiring! :)

The last few pics are of Monica, Amber talking to the kids about cleaning... They didn't have many cleaning supplies when we got there, so we went and bought a lot of stuff... mops, buckets, things like that. And we showed them how to use them.

I'm glad to see there are people who think that helping someone doesn't mean just "with only $1/month you can...".

Thanks, you guys! :) I was gonna post more, but I haven't got around to uploading them yet. I guess i'll just attach some... The 2nd pic is of the man who runs Elida (the orphanage) and his wife and kids. The other ones are of the kids of course... we had fun doing different things with them, like arts & crafts... we also had a 'carnival' day...games and relay races and stuff.

this one was funny. there were plates of flour, with candy in it, and the object was to get the candy without using your hands... the last pic is of Eivind (my web-designing partner) and Rebekka.

We also took a 3 day trip up to the mountains... to a little village.

The drive up there...

One of the cars got a flat tire... luckily it was fixed quick.

This is where we stayed... it was a little house/church. Practically the whole village would gather there for church service... afterwards, we all talked and hung out... they offered us Durian, which is a very horrible smelling fruit, that everyone there loves, but we couldn't stand it...:D we ate it though, or at least took a little bite.

A fuzzy pic of some of us, the day we arrived.

Last pic... you might recognize the girl in the white shirt. :o

She reminds me of somebody.

She sure is a pretty young woman. Maybe you can introduce her to me if she's ever in the area. :nice:
