Walk the Line (www.walktheline.net) is a 'punk' band that is made up of a few DA members. They opened a show for mylocalbands.com at the Roxy in Hollywood last night.
The venue, for those of you that are not familiar with Hollywood, is a smallish club with a few tables off to the side and then a modest sized floor with a decently sized raised stage. The Roxy is located on Sunset strip right by The Key Club and The Whisky A Go Go.
They opened with Corktree (available at their website) which is a great song. Lots of energy, nice beat, great guitar, and the vocals were pretty on.
Overall, it wa s a fun set. They got some people that dont' know them and weren't neccessarily into them at the start up and moving, which is always difficult, so that was nice.
I'd like to see more out of the addition of the new guitarist...I didn't feel he neccessarily added much, but the few miscues did detract overall.
I think last time I saw Walk the Line at the Cobalt, it was a better show, but some of the newer stuff they played this time I was more into.
