View Full Version : 30 Days
SecretSamadhi 06-23-2005, 04:30 PM Anyone see this yet?
Its Morgan Spurlock , creator of Super Size Me.
He has himself, or others, take up a new lifestyle for 30 days - its really good.
He's got a lot of charisma as well as 'likability'
I'd catch it if I were you! :nice:
Mr. Know It All 06-23-2005, 04:36 PM I would like to but I only have my local channels. My attempt at getting my family out of the house.

Ah, that sucks man..
Hopefully it'll come out on Network , it may get picked up like CSI did - its really good :nice:
The first one showed him and his fiance trying to make it on minimum wage for a month.
Very eye opening, made me feel silly for running out of $$
Two Way Radio 06-30-2005, 06:25 PM I've been watching it, I like it pretty well, it's a great concept for a show. I've been digging the stuff Fx has been putting out lately. I was a huge fan of Rescue Me last summer, this has been good so far, and the new show about the Iraq war, Over There, looks really good.
I really like how they've mixed it up with the many different social and economic changes they have to make. What did people think of the bible belt guy living with the muslims?
Rhuid 07-02-2005, 09:07 PM I also like the show and think that the concept is very clever. The first episode was good with the living on minimum wage. I just wish we had a "Free Store" here too..heh. The Second episode was pretty good as well with steroid use, but in my opinion, the third fell a little more flat for me. I'm hoping next week's episode is good..appears to be that way.
what day, time & channel??

Did you miss the Muslim one? Its a good one to watch, especially now.....
Antithesis 07-24-2005, 10:30 PM I saw Supersize Me and liked it... and the only full episode of 30 Days that I saw was the one where the 100% heterosexual guy from a conservative community goes to live with a gay guy in San Francisco. The hetero's ignorance pissed me off a bit and he was quite stubborn throughout the entire show until the very end. Don't know if his views actually changed or if he was just happy it was about to be over.
SecretSamadhi 07-25-2005, 11:46 AM He actually did change a little bit... he became friends with the guy he stayed with. And I think he came away a little less narrow-minded than he was.
I just watched Off the Grid and Binge Drinking Mom this past weekend, I thought Off The Grid was pretty good!!
Morgan Spurlock for President 2012!!!!
Somebody 07-25-2005, 12:36 PM The Binge Drinking one was stupid.
The daughter was already in college,
and what was happening to the mother made no difference to her.
It was disturbing to the young son.
I don't think that one month will stick with that 8-9 y/o boy,
enough to change him.
I didn't like this one.

I know, huh? That girl was ridiculous - but I hope that it does stick with him to an extent.
Bad finale over all - what will get people watching it is him, he has great screen presence.
