The book has 353 pages and had some large print so it was not that hard to finish.

I flatly refuse to read it until I see the film.

Heck I bought the new Movie Score Soundtrack this weekend and just to be safe, I burned two copies (one for home, one for office) and put the original away on a shelf without reading it at all. Last time around they accidentally gave away a major plot point by the way a track was named (Qui Gon’s funeral) so this time I didn’t read it at all.

By the way, John Williams has outdone himself with the music on this one. Elements from all previous/future films are present. Been listening to it all morning.

Frog, agree on the music.

Guitarophile, Calypso and I were watching Return of the Jedi on Sat night, and man, the music is just awesome. So perfect. When Luke removes Vader's helment, and it has the 'Vader theme' music playing with what sounds like a single instrument...it sounds so sweet and innocent...bug contrast to the loud brassy tone it usually is...

I actually, in watching Empire and Return, relauized that EPI wasn't NEARLY as bad as everyone made it out to be...

The acting, the story, the 'production value' is pretty damn good.

Yes, I loved it when the music reduced to just a single harp quietly playing a muted version of the Imperial March.

Luke single-minded courage and belief in his father saved him, in the end.

I wonder if Luke and Leia will ever find out about Padme. Only Leia knew her, and that only briefly as a small child. Luke didn't even get that much.

There is so much to wonder...

You seem big on Star Wars, have ya done any of the 'post' reading? Zhan's novels are great...

Yes, and I wish they'd have Lucas sign off on someone (under his tutelage) doing the New Jedi Order books. The Yuhzon Vong war is quite the saga. I couldn't believe they killed the two major characters they did.

I have them all except the latest one.

I also read the New Republic books that came before. For the most part, they were great. Some were a little over-the-top but good overall. Zhan, Stackpole, and David were my favs.

I want to do some more SW reading, only read Zhans triology...

I'd love for Lucas to sign off on someone, or to get busting and write Episodes 7-9 ;-)

Last time he was asked, Lucas said that if you're asking right now, is he going to do 7, 8 and 9, then the answer is 'no.' He went on to say that 10 years form now when EpIII is done and he's rested, he might change his mind or just let a protege of his do it with his blessing.

Yeah...he says no now...

But come on, thats a cash cow waiting to be sold at auction...

Mive slaes alone, but the intense merchandising lucas is now known for...

But, I wouldn't mind if he 'outlined' or cowrote, he doesn't need to write it all or direct...

I mean, look at all the help he had in those departments on Empire and Return...

In an article I was reading he said that basically he wants to start doing smaller things he wants to do for himself...stuff that neccessarily wouldn't even be distributed by anyone...

Make it, and then hold a few screenings, and thats it...pretty cool.

Ok first of all the reason that I decided to read the book is because I wanted to see if the movie whould be any good. But now that I have read it I can say that I can't wait for the movie. It was actually written by R. A. Salvatore, who wrote Vector Prime.

Also I heard that Lucas wants to make some more Indina movies once he is finished with the Star Wars movies.

I just read the script to the movie (editted of course). I can only imagine how great the book was.

I'm at full mast, baby!

I can't wait till tomorrow night. When the movie starts, I may just explode.

Here's the link to the editted script. MWWAAAHHAAAHHAA!!!!
