Betty 04-27-2002, 09:38 AM My wife decided that since MSN is offering a $200 shopping spree at best buy, we should switch isp's and drop prodigy and go to them. After hours of her nagging, I reluctantly agreed.
Now I can't get on the internet with linux!
I tried looking up all the settings, I tried guessing the settings, I've tried everything I can think of.
You people gotta help me! I hate using windows for the internet! I miss Konquerer! Help me please!
Hmm, do they allow you to connect to the internet without their 'program.'
I don't think AOL does either...

Wow that sounds like what I was yelling at the computer yesterday as I was trying to reinstall MSN.
Snouter 04-28-2002, 02:24 PM Two talk show guys on the short-wave (5070 around midnight EST) were joking about the devious ways of Bill Gates. Microsoft is so damn monopolysoft. AOL also does their best to be a monopoly.
Can't you guys get a local broadband setup this lets you use any browser? It is $30/month here for cable connection as long as there is also cable TV subscription being paid for.

And I live out in the middle of the boonies, so the only way I'm getting broadband is via duplex sattelite, which is a bit pricey.
