New to ME. :) beatlebabe 04-07-2005, 07:17 PM Well.... 1. How much do you make??? 2. What bills do you have/expect to have??? 3. How much are you willing to pay for a payment & insurance??? 4. What's your credit like??? This will affect your interest rate. Gibson 04-07-2005, 07:20 PM 1. How much do you make??? 33/yr 2. What bills do you have/expect to have??? prolly 500ish for rent/utils 300-350 for gas/food 3. How much are you willing to pay for a payment & insurance??? Insurance for me is around 200 a month. Payment is dependant on how much the car is. 4. What's your credit like??? This will affect your interest rate. Credit's perfect. beatlebabe 04-07-2005, 07:28 PM So you make about $2750/month. Subtract $900 for rent/utilities (always better to figure high than low) Subtract $200 for insurance This will leave you with $1650. With your credit, you should be able to get a low interest rate. I'm not sure what they run right now for vehicles, but shop around before settling on where to get your financing from. Stick with your bank or credit union if you can. Personally, I can't see going over $300/month for a car payment. You make good money, and you don't have a lot of bills, but you shouldn't stretch too thin, in case something happens. That will leave you with $1350/month for other expenses that may occur (gas, entertainment, credit cards if they increase, higher rent if needed, etc.) I'm not an expert though :p Red 04-07-2005, 07:43 PM buy a 4cyl Honduh and pimp that **** out yo. :| Gibson 04-07-2005, 07:45 PM So you make about $2750/month. They're not THAT expensive, maybe more than I can afford at 15k but not TOO bad. Gibson 04-10-2005, 08:15 PM *bump* So how much can I spend on a car without going penniless?
