I watch it. I do like Bo, and I've been hoping that Carrie would find that starry place. Last night, she did. As soon as she appeared on the stage, I knew this was going to be great. Wow.

I also like Bo... Simon nailed Bo right on when he said he looked like he has been doing this for years.. I like both him and Constantine !

My son's been watching it though, and his fave is Carrie. He likes the girls though (I'm in trouble :eek: ) so he doesn't have an opinion on Bo. He calls me every time it's on & wants me to vote for Carrie. I think he has a new crush :hmm:

I think it's by far the most concentration of talent than any year before. In fact, you could pick any of these (with one exception), and they could have won any of the prior three.

My kids love that show. This is the first year that we've watched it as a family and I became much more interested in the outcome than I thought I would.

I like to watch it each week. I'm surprised how I've grown to like some of the contestants that I didn't originally like in the first few episodes, like Vonzel and Scott. after watching last night i am at a loss for words on Scott...I sure do hope that he leaves. good riddance....BTW...did anyone buy the charity single that they all did....I downloaded it from ITunes (easy buck) and it goes to the red cross - i like doing that stuff...did it for the Grammy song too.

I was disappointed to see Constantine leave last night because I think he was better than a couple that stayed....I thought it might end up with Constantine, Vonzell, Carrie and Bo for the final four.....just goes to show...you never know whats going to happen.

My daughter is a state champion opera/classical singer. Could she sing Pop....I don't know. However, it doesn't mean she's not a great singer in the area she is comfortable in and gifted in. It just means she has an area of music which is good for her and the rest would be up for grabs.

Just because someone is a 'rocker' ....doesn't mean they will do well singing an 80's song.....but it also doesn't suggest they can't do a rock song better than most.

Competitions like this...gravitate towards people who can sing in a variety of music....fairly well. But it never suggests that each candidate...in their own arena isn't great.

Therefore, I think each person individually on AI....will do fine .....if they follow what they are best at. And they are all very talented......no doubt.

These four you just named, along with Anwar and Nadia is one of the reasons I'm probably going to buy the American Idol single for the first time. I just think between those six people, you've got a lot of talented singers with a wide array of music types they are strongest in. the champions previous years have been great, but the quality of the top 6-8 wasn't as good.

I've been hooked on American Idol since Season 1. It's embarrassing how it sucks you in.. hahaha. Anyway, I am VERY satisfied that Scott Savol is gone. I could NOT stand him. I'm a rocker chick at heart. That said, it's no secret that I want Bo to win. Carrie's got a great voice on her, but she's robotic, like Simon had mentioned last week. She rarely changes expressions when she's singing, or even smiles. Vonzell can sing the endings of songs really well. Unfortunately though, when I go to purchase a CD, I want the entirety of the songs to be good, not just the endings.

I think Anthony will be going this week. I'm glad he wasn't booted on his birthday and danced around my living room when Scott was announced as the loser instead. heh.

I would love for Vonzell to win, but it’s highly unlikely that she will. I have a feeling she might even go this week. The thing is, this competition isn’t solely based on talent. A big portion of it is based on popularity. She doesn’t have that strong of a fanbase as some of the other competitors have. I think it’s going to come down to either Anthony and Carrie or Bo and Carrie. I think Carrie is probably going to win.

I agree though that Vonzell is the best singer out of all of them. She continues to get better and she will continue to grow and get better. I just hope that if she doesn’t win, that some record company will snag her, cause she’s awesome.

I really want to see Bo NOT carry the mic stand around while he sings just one song.

Too bad somebody had to go, because they are all pretty talented people. I'm starting to think it'll be a toss up now.

I think they are ALL very talented young people and I do hope they end up following their dreams. Last night it came down to Country, Rock and Soul. It's a shame it didn't stop right there and all of them be considered the winners.

Maybe it comes down to 'marketing'. Bo has great talent....but I'm not sure if he would have the 'following' in terms of CD Sales due to his age and particular style. He sure can sing though. I've enjoyed the whole season with him in it.

It's wasn't just Country, Rock and Soul....there is clearly a star quality (on stage) about Bo that isn't there with Carrie. Something Vonzell has too (but isn't as developed yet IMO). American Idol has seemed to pick winners that have uniqueness of presence as well as singing talent for the past winners, that's why Bo seems to be the more logical choice. Bo Bice has been playing in a band for several years. I don't know if the posters here knew that.

If you go on American Idol, expect to compete with people who've been playing professionally for along time. The guy, Fedorov, sang in a Russian restaurant (he was born in Russia) but he's never been in front of a mixed audience like Bo Bice has. If you've never sang in public as a real singer, the chances of you making it as American Idol are approximately zero.

Simon Cowell, the founder of Pop Idol which is the British version exported to America, is not telling people the whole truth about AI. Somebody walking in off the street is not going to win.

The popularity of American Idol is that the average person thinks average people can win. Not true. Most of the contestants that make it to TV, if not 100 percent of them, have been in bands for years. To say that out loud would mess up the whole "rags to riches" aura the show has, so everybody pretends that you, the McDonalds fry cook, can actually be a winner. Yea, ok. :rolleyes:

If American Idol allowed the only people that could win, the professionals, on television, it would just the new version of American Bandstand. The Simon Cowell genius is to let the average person on and make the public think they really have some kind of chance to win, when they really don't.

Hehe...yes, in a couple years he'll be "over" American Idol (or altleast when his buddys are over) :p
For some strange reason, teenaged guys seem to think that they cant watch American Idol or listen to female singers...:shrug: I dont see why not...

Hmmmm....this is difficult. On the one hand: he could grow up to be one of those sensitive, sweet guys that girls swoon over; or on the other hand...he could be gay. :|

I dont see anything wrong with either one....but who knows, I could be wrong, and he could be neither :p

I was just over at BarnesandNoble.com shopping for books, and I noticed that Bo and Carries singles, even though they aren't out yet, are #1 and #4 on their list. Seems like a lot of people are eager to get Bo and Carrie in recorded form. I know I'm looking forward to picking up the singles.
