SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides application and technical support to all end-users (both on and off-site).

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages deployment, maintenance, support, installation and upgrade of hardware and software.
- Perform regular maintenance on computer equipment and peripherals.
- Maintains and monitors computer and peripheral inventory.
- Assist users with Hardware/Software related questions and problems.
- Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems.
- Utilizes tracking application to maintain hardware/software, call history and job ticket routing.
- Maintains a positive and proactive communication with all clients, departments and vendors.
- Serve as a back up for Computer Operator.
- Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and decision making skills.
- A+ and/or MCP Certification or equivalent work experience required.
- Basic network fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products support.
- Some travel is required.
- Occasional off-hours and weekend availability required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to support systems in a multi- location, fast-paced, growing organization. The primary responsibilities of this job will be to develop and maintain business, manufacturing and engineering application systems that enable the company’s business processes. The candidate will be responsible for performing functions of both systems analysis and programming. Responsibilities will also include limited support for the company’s desktop environment.

Our ideal candidate will have 2 – 5 years supporting a manufacturing business systems and 1 – 3 years desktop support in a windows environment. Must possess project management experience with medium/large size projects, experience with Crystal Reports or other report-writing software, SQL Server or other Relational Database experience (design, administration and maintenance), Visual Basic, Progress, FoxPro, SQL or other database programming language experience, and working knowledge of Windows and MS Office Suite support and administration in a network environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Degree in Computer Science or a Business related field is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), and ability to work in team environment are essential. Must have superior analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. Must be proactive, self-motivated, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and delivery quality results.

Occasional travel between multiple facilities within Cleveland area and flexibility to work additional hours as needed is required.

Candidates must successfully complete both drug screening and criminal history/ background/reference check.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

The Tech Support Analyst provides and delivers first-tier, technical support and problem management to end users on moderately complex issues regarding computer operations, including installations, setups, error messages, on-line transactions, system status and downtime procedures. May implement, administer and maintain user control systems through the use of controls, and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, modifications, disclosure, misuse, manipulation, or destruction of systems, networks, applications and data.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides technical support to diagnose, analyze, research and resolve moderately complex computer problems for internal and external customers. Responsible for recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving problems with information systems products and services.
2. Executes problem and change management to end users for moderately complex PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware.
3. Leads the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for moderately complex technical problems in order to ensure user satisfaction. Researches, develops, and recommends technical alternatives utilizing advanced and/or new technology to support functional requirements and/or problem resolution for end user systems.
4. Manages moderately complex customer escalations and develops and recommends appropriate technical solution or resource.
5. Executes incident management and provides ticket documentation. Analyzes and assists in the resolution of moderately complex problems regarding multiple operating systems, software applications, and business processes.
6. Troubleshoots and corrects moderately complex connectivity issues in network and software systems and applications. Consults to end users on best practices, applications and knowledge for password reset tools, associated support groups, access levels and group requirements, security policies and requirements, and identity validation standards.
7. Assists in the identification of trends relating to systems problems for the company. Provides prevention suggestions.
8. Consults with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core systems problems. Recommends systems modifications in order to reduce user problems and increase productivity.
9. Provides on-going technical training to end user groups on company technologies, infrastructure, hardware, and software applications. Responsible for preparing operations documentation, procedures, and methods including user manuals and reference manuals.
10. May analyze and maintain basic security profiles and file permissions to computer resources and information.
11. May processes routine user ID request for multiple platforms. May be responsible for the creation, deletion and modification of user ID's on multiple platforms. May remove inactive or terminated employees from systems if necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants should have undergraduate studies in computer science management information systems, business administration, insurance or related field. In addition, one year of experience in a Help desk environment is required. Customer service and/or call center experience is preferred.
Proven knowledge in microcomputers, network and mainframe technologies and applications. Must have an understanding of business systems, data processing, and customer service concepts and practices. Knowledge in IT Security policy, standards and procedures preferred.
In addition, the ability to analyze customer needs and expectations and define as well as document functional requirements and perform technical evaluations is needed. Must be able to operate and perform problem diagnostics on microcomputer hardware and software. Must have the ability to analyze and diagnose moderately complex technical problems. Must have strong oral and written communication skills in order to interact with all levels of personnel. Competencies include: shrink wrap, password reset, remote tools, connectivity related to designated platforms and designated suite of applications
