Those are the cables that go from the drive into the sound card.

The DVD is a digital cord while the other is an analog.

maybe I will pick up some of those cords for my new drives, when I get a new digital sound card.


got a little excited, in compusa's ad today, they have this keyboard/mouse combo (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product%5Fcode=290557&csearch=1) for 80bux, butafter I looked at it, I realized it wasn't a cordless keyboard

I currently have logitech wireless, works like a dream. I keep the 'receiver' on top of the tower, near the back and it works 10-15ft away...

Just wanted to shift to optical...

If dell messed up and sends two sets thats their issue...a restocking fee should NOT apply.

Aren't you gonna get some arctic silver 3? Granted the thermal grease/pad they apply is alright, but you can lower your temps by 3-8deg C by using it. I like my cooler, it's nice and quiet, but I plan on going even quieter. If I can get a almost silent, 80486 days quiet athlon/duron setup, I'm going to take my custom computer business bigtime. Lots of people detest the noise, and that's an actual reason why they won't upgrade. My dad has a AMD K6-350, which is almost unbearable to his 64 year old ears, and refuses to work with anything faster because of the noise.

I got some AS3 when ya last recommended it when I was still having my crashing issues. My current temps are 39-41, and I run no case fan, just my sink/fan and my enermax exhaust fan.

I am going to add in these two case fans, switch to the hopefully MUCH quieter CPU fan, and hopefully stay in the 39 range but be QUIET.

You're damn right if you can make a QUIET box that you'd be going well.

I love the speed of this machine, HATE the noise. My dad would love a machine like this, but HATE the noise...
