Ed Schultz [The new king of talk radio] has invited Presdient Bush to appear on his talk program[check breaking news at www.bigeddieradio.com].

Schultz has the fastest growing program in radio,in one year he has gone from 2 stations to 70 [including most of the biggest markets],much faster growth that Rush Limbaugh had in a simular time.

Will Bush reach out to liberals by appearing on Big Ed's show?

Of course he's not going to go on a talk radio show, I wouldn't if I were prez. Schultz surely knows this and is giving the invitation for publicity more than anything.

I sure would love to hear Bush on there though.

What is the point of him talking in the radio show anyway!
The day Bush reaches the liberals, it will a very dark day.

the new king of talk? how so? I bet 99% of the people here haven't even heard of him

I'm with Jed here. He just wants to make the Prez look bad by asking him to come on the show knowing that he won't. Then he'll just redicule him about it for a few weeks to up his ratings.

Kinda like O'Reilly did with what's his name... that other guy that ran for president... Kenny.

Yawn.

Clinton et al have had a standing invitation on several conservative talk shows for several years. He has yet to appear.

Ed Schultz [The new king of talk radio]

His "amazing" growth is only a result of Air America's takeover of small radio stations.

Limbaugh built his empire, one station at a time, whereas AA is buying radio stations and putting their entire lineup on.

The more important question is, what his ratings as compared to the real King?

Ed who?

Limbaugh's Record Still Stands

In a Tuesday press release, liberal talk radio host Ed Schultz boasted that he'd broken Rush Limbaugh's record because after one year on-the-air, his show is carried by 70 stations - 14 more than Limbaugh on his first anniversary.

Not so, says the conservative icon.

In a press release issued Wednesday, Limbaugh's EIB network points out that Schultz is comparing apples and oranges.

On EIB's first day, Limbaugh was carried on 56 stations. But by the time of his first anniversary, the top talker was on more than 150 outlets - more than double Schultz so called record breaking 70 stations.

What's more, Limbaugh debuted on 50,000 watt blowtorches like New York's WABC, while most Americans still couldn't find Schultz on the dial if they tried.

HEY... wouldnt it be GREAT if we invite Bush to be part of DA? Think about it! You can ask the President any question you like...

For instance, I would ask him..

"Hey Bush, like when you and Laura get it on, who is on top? Is it Laura? Is that why you are always F***ing up?" :D

Larry King has a very likeable personality and I would also guess he wouldn't ask many hard hitting questions of any of his guests.

While Ed is on most of the stations that carry Air America [and Ed does support Air America] Ed is carried by Jones Boradcasting and Democracy Radio .

Kraw and Ponycar, you may not have heard Ed yet ,but you will.

Liberal talk radio is growing so fast that even Fox News has given Alan Colmes his own radio show.

Conservatives like PB will ridicule and try to discredit it but those tatics won't work, times are changing and there will finally be a balance of opinions in the deabte about where our society is going.

Limbaugh built his empire, one station at a time, whereas AA is buying radio stations and putting their entire lineup on.

And Westood One gives Bill O' Reily's show free to radio stations just as the network [I forget it's name] that Limbaugh began on gave his show free to sations too.

It's how you start out in radio.

And what about conservatives who own stations just to put out their propaganda?

The more important question is, what his ratings as compared to the real King?
I do know that in New York City Al Franken has the most listened to radio program from Noon to 3:00 [taking away the lead that Limbauigh had for over ten years].

In one year both Ed and Air America are growing at a larger way than Limbaugh [and probably Hannity] did in a simular time.

And I know several progressive business people who are buying time on these shows too.

I know you can't see this [but this goes to others who feel the same way]: That is called capitalism ,I'm shocked that any conservative would be opposed to liberals buying stations [or air time on stations].

Since Bill is banned I'll make an attempt to field this one. He wasn't saying the buying of the stations is a bad thing; he's saying that's the reason for his sudden popularity.

I disagree,Boxer got more votes than Kerry or California's steroid-freak Gov in the nation's most populous state, she is just spending her political capital, that's all.

The network that first carried Limbuagh gave his show to stations for free at first,Westwood One gives Bill O' Reilly's radio show to stations for free.

Not to mention all the conservatives who already owned radio stations, who then flooded them with only conservative programming once Reagan abolished the Fariness Doctrine.

I don't see anything different between that and what Air America,Democracy Radio and Jones Broadcasting are doing.

will Bush reach out to liberals by appearing on Big Ed's show? Why should Bush or any conservative reach out to liberals?

They lost..they should jump on board the Conservative train and try to contribute if they can. I have no problem with them keeping their political ideology, but they have a choice of basking in obscurity and remaining powerless or trying to give some constructive input.

I'm right now listening to Sen. Boxer talking about her excellent vote against Condi Rice on Ed Schultz. :nice:This idiot is an example of why I asked the question above.

To add the reason I asked; I heard on fox news there were some protestors in the front row of Bush's inaugeration, When asked how they got their, Fox news discovered they were given the passes from CA and NY congressmen. There is just one of any number of reasons why Bi-partisanship and/or reaching out to the Liberal leadership in the Dem. party is assinine

Low class. The inaguration is not about the man. It is an American tradition and ceremony. Those jerks made it a political rally. Low class, but not surprising

First off,Riz does not know for a fact that the two senators did it,this is his opinion [a opinion based on his political biases].

Even if true, that is fine with me,dissent is as American as apple pie.

There you go again assuming what people were thinking.
New York, like every other state in the union has 2, thats right, 2 senators. Both senators in New York just happen to be democrat. Despite my "political biases" (like you dont have any) its hard to ignore that little tidbit of information.

Sure, only if its people who share your political views, dissent is good.

And the quote in question was that SOME Democratic congressmen[women] in CA and NY did it.

Senators are congrsspeople but so are people in the House.

Once again,no names were given so your statment that Clinton and Schumer actually did it is only opinion and since you don't like either of them politicaly ,it's logical to assume that you stated it as fact due to your biases.
