Season ends, DVD comes out. That's how it works nowadays. And it's not just for worthwhile shows.

The Simple Life Season 2 DVD? Survivor Seasons 1-4 now available? Come the f'ck on.

I know someone who works for the merchandise department of ABC. These crappy DVD boxed sets are extremely cheap to make, but they also don't make very much money. Part of the reason there are so many is because of DVD clauses in just about every single sitcom/reality show contract - they're not necissarily made to make money.

six feet under
sex and the city
ally mcbeal (if they actually made it)
x-files (season 1-5)

i'll probably never get those, but if i had $60 per season just laying around, those would be what i'd get

currently i have the band of brothers Box set, Alias Season 1,2,3 And 24 Season 1,2,3. Alias i saw in some reruns during the second season so i bought the first and loved it, so i bought more. Its widescreen 5.1 Surround and NO commericals. It was worth it to me. Not sure what others i would buy though.. probably Not many.

Blasphamy! This is maybe the funniest show of the last decade. The writing of this show is incredible. They never gave it enough support on Fox, and after it got cancelled they realized what a huge following it has. Do yourself a favor and rent one of the DVD's. You'll laugh like crazy and won't regret it.
