...EXCEPT here.

I've been neglecting my duties while at work to a degree so horrible I don't even want to contemplate it. So, I'm going to try an experiment: Post here and ONLY here. Lurk here and ONLY here. I suspect I'm going to be so bored I shall soon stop coming here, but we shall see. Posterbation has only limited interest to me. But, hmmm, limited options may make it more attractive as the self-banishment wears on. :p

This may be akin to an alcoholic claiming he's cured because he's switched from whiskey to beer, but I don't think it is going to be. I think what's going to happen is a cascade of drivel for a week or two, then very little in the way of activity until the 30 days are up (January 16, 2005, 1:36 PM, but who's counting?)

In the past the sense of public humiliation I shall feel has been enough to keep me in line, should I even consider breaking my word. Doubtless that shall be the case this time. I'm not going to bother issuing a "goodbye for now" post on any board except TMF. Will do that, and that will do it for anything outside of this place.

(1) Make this a sticky
(2) Make sure I'm not on invisible mode here
(3) Make this board a fave on explorer so I come straight to it.

This ought to be fun. Or torture. Or tortuous fun. Or funny torture. We shall see. :)

(Drivel commencing)

What was that song, I think by Canned Heat, Thirty Days in the Hole?

A bit before my time, but not by much. Peter Frampton as vocalist, I think. Kick ass tune. Too bad Frampton became such a sissy boy later on. Well, I guess he cried all the way to the bank, eh?
