Seems pretty stupid to me, but I'm not a parent.

Cat Barnard sits in her driveway in Enterprise, Fla. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2004, near the tent where and she and her husband, Harlan slept. The Barnards moved out of the house and set up the tent in the driveway to go on strike because their children, Benjamin, 17, and Kit, 12, refused to do household chores. The parents won't cook, clean or drive their children until they shape up.(AP Photo/Peter Cosgrove)

sounds pretty good to me.
Kids dont realize how much thier parents do.
This will be a good way to show the kids what it'd be like for them if their parents decided not to do thier chores.

These kids are the right age to do it to. Hope they don't cave in

This type of thing has been happening since I was a teen :P (whoa long time ago) I whole heartedly support any parents right to try to raise their children the best way that they know, but this kind of behaviour can only show the kids that getting older only means that you can still act childish. The key to raising a child is starting young. Not to say that these people did not try, but how a child acts is a good indicator of a his/her upbringing. More power to the parents, I hope this stragety works for them. I highly doubt it though.
