View Full Version : What show will you stop everything for to see?

Is it a cartoon? A sitcom? weekly documentary?

What show will you just turn the phone off and completely be absorbed in?

Personally for the longest time I would stop to watch 'The Crocodile Hunter' every week.

That is easy, currently 'Desperate Housewives'.

It is a Sunday night prime time sitcom. It has a Twin Peaks twist, for those of us who remembers 'Who Killed Laura Palmer'. It has every day desperate housewife lifes, varying from the wife having the affair, the mom about to have a nervous breakdown raising 4 kids, life after divorce, and when your marriage is falling apart.

It comes on ABC, Sunday night 8 pm Central.

I don't have anything I stop everything to see, but I'll go out of my way to catch Father Ted and My Hero off and on, lately.

Yesterday I was annoyed because SCI channel has a deal on the Mt. Vesuvius/Pompei thing and I don't get that channel and I wanted to see it.

Family Guy and Simpsons reruns.

The Simpsons is the only program I care the slightest about nowadays, and even then I don't stop what I am doing to watch it. TV for me is all about movies and sports.

Well, now that Buffy and Angel are gone...I am really into Lost. One of the writers from Buffy and Angel, David Fury, is the Executive Producer and a writer on the show. Its got Charlie from Party of Five, and a Hobbit from Lord of the Rings! :nice:

I also gotta watch ER, and Survior - the ONLY Reality show I wil watch.

Nothing now because I have DVR. I can watch them whenever now. It’s weird cause now I don’t like to watch the show when it comes on because of the commercials. I’ll wait till its over and then watch it so I can fastforward through the commercials.

Any BBC programme, ESPECIALLY:

"FAWLTY TOWERS"

"MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS"

"RED DWARF"

And as far as Domestic (American) fare:

"BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD"

And there you ARE!

I'm a sucker for Law & Order. I can't think of any program that rivets me to the seat. My wife watches this 30 minute cooking show on the Food Channel with this cute chick with a great voice.

law and order is awesome. but the beauty of the show is that you don't have to stop everything to watch it. just turn on the tv and chances are at least one channel is showing an episode

I have to admit I watch law and order sometimes. That said, it has some of the worst one-liner dialogue in the history of television.

I loved "Good as it Gets"! Nicholson was also good in the one with Diane Keaton - just can't think of the name right off the top of my head. I have lots of movies, but I usually get ones that I'm pretty sure I'll watch more than once.

I returned the cable TV gear to the cable company this week after realizing it was costing me NZ 39 per week, and that I hadn't watched five minutes of television in the past six months.

In fact the last time I watched more than 15 minute of TV was probably 2 or 3 years ago.

I only watch movies, or rented series seasons. Simply don't have the patience for all the crap on TV: its pollution of the most insidious kind :)
