There are a series of older TV shows that have been made or are being made into movies.

Which ones did you think worked well as movies? (Charlies Angels, Starsky and Hutch)

Which ones are you looking forward to seeing? (Dukes of Hazzard, Fat Albert, Bewitched)

Dukes of Hazzard is being filmed about a mile from my house, I am looking forward to seeing it, because some of my neighbors will be extras, and the area will be neat to see on a movie screen. I can do without the Jessica Simpson acting, but looking forward to Sean William Scott, Johnny Knoxville, etc.

I think Dukes of Hazzard will be pretty good (I agree about Jessica Simpson, though)... maybe Bewitched also. That's cool that they're shooting Dukes so close to your home, Foul Temptress.

I think Dukes of Hazzard will be ok. I'll def see it just because of what it is. Remeber when they did Southpark the movie. It was even nastier than the show. I think doing more sci fi stuff into movies would be nice. Like the new Battlestar Galactica series, that would be neat as a movie. They already did a miniseries.

Usually, I think the parody ones end up being better than the 'serious' remakes.

Isn't there kind of a big controversy over the car having the Confederate Battle Flag on it, as it did on the TV show? (Bunch of nonsense in my opinion, and I supposedly had an ancestor who fought and died for the Union.)

The Fugitive comes to mind. That was a reasonably popular show that was a smash hit as a movie.

Yes. As much as I slog the spate of TV-series-to-feature-film bastardizations, amazingly, there WAS one GOOD movie there...and that was it! :nice:

The rest? They ALL oughta have been filmed on old nitrate, so they'd disintergrate...

And DON'T get me STARTED on that forthcoming abortion called "The HONEYMOONERS"!

That WHHHOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHH you hear is....JACKIE GLEASON, ART CARNEY, AUDREY MEADOWS, & JOYCE RANDOLPH SPINNIN' in their graves!!!!!!!! :P

Dukes of Hazzard sucked as a TV show. How the hell is anyone supposed to make a good movie out of that?

Starsky and Hutch was decent. I liked the movie a lot more than the TV Series.

The Batman series of movies was decent as well.

Dick Tracey blowed big time.

The Star Trek movies were mostly good except for the first one.

I did not see Beverly Hillbillies or Maverek Movies but I heard they both sucked.

I though Starsky and Hutch was great and I kind of think that Bewithced will be good. I loved that show. But has anyone heard the lastest about making Sex and the City into a movie?

I don't think SATC is going to be made into a movie... I heard there was some trouble coming to agreement on terms between the women and that rumor about Kim Catrall and SJP having issues with each other was supposed to play a role in that.

I liked the Addams Family movies pretty much, except for the ridiculous, purely commercial addition of rap music to the soundtrack instead of something creepy and kookie.

The upcoming Bewitched seems interesting, given its slant.

A favorite old TV show that I think would make a great movie is Have Gun, Will Travel....the Western where San Francisco bon vivant Paladin trades his silk smoking jacket for tailored black gunslinger garb when he hires out as a mercenary, one fond of quoting poets and philosophers as he judgmentally executes his missions.
