Staples, looking for a wacky gimmick, stumbled onto a beauty: they auctioned off celebrity signed staplers for charity.

I had initially heard about this Staples auction on David Letterman (last week, I think). I was surprised by Paris at $4000, but even more shocked that Jennifer Love Hewitt came in second with $3000! I thought she was sort of washed up after "Party of 5" went off the air, who knew?? I heard Staples raised over $50,000 with this auction and all the $$ goes to charity.
