Saw this news recently that Ty Pennington of Extreme Makeover fame is auctioning himself off for dinner on Ebay.
The proceeds will go to charity...
The price has actually been driven up pretty high.
Check it out on Ty's site.

Looks like a great cause too.
What do you think?

I think that that's pretty absurd. If I had $10k to donate to charity, I'd just donate it to charity. What do I need to have dinner with a fruity construction/design guy for?
But for those that really want to, more power to 'em.

I may do it of he would help me finish my basement! I would cook Spaghetios and serve it up with Saltine crackers and milk. Then go to work in the basement.

Some lonely rich housewife is bidding hoping he'll whip out his tool and start hammering. If I had the money I would bid and then wear depends and poop myself at the table and starting yelling line from Pulp Fiction. You know, really freak the dude out. Teach him a lesson about giving to charity.

And go figure....the person that is the high bidder has recently won a Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark movie posters. The night should be filled with deep discussion.

"100% of the final value will go to
National Military Family Association
NMFA supports a strong and healthy military family through programs designed to enhance the opportunities, resources, and services available to Uniformed Servicemembers, spouses and children."
This sounds pretty awesome. They certainly deserve it...
