"Police are investigating how a month-old infant died Saturday under the care of a Boca Raton couple who told police that they had been on a three-day crack cocaine binge... [Sonia Yollanda Thomas, 39, and Neal Anthony Bryan, 46] admitted to having smoked about $500 worth of crack cocaine, having started after dinner on Thanksgiving, police reports show. They said they were up all night Friday fueled by the crack cocaine before discovering the baby on the bed not breathing on Saturday afternoon... Thomas said she couldn't remember how many times she fed the baby because she was high on crack, the records said... Neighbor Jim Rookey, 47, said he ran up to the couple's third-floor apartment and found Thomas cradling the baby and screaming... 'I knew at that point that the baby was dead,' Rookey said. 'But I didn't want to say anything. I don't know how long the baby had been down, but I could tell it had been a while because his body had stiffened up.'"
