South Florida Sun-Sentinel

"Police are investigating how a month-old infant died Saturday under the care of a Boca Raton couple who told police that they had been on a three-day crack cocaine binge... [Sonia Yollanda Thomas, 39, and Neal Anthony Bryan, 46] admitted to having smoked about $500 worth of crack cocaine, having started after dinner on Thanksgiving, police reports show. They said they were up all night Friday fueled by the crack cocaine before discovering the baby on the bed not breathing on Saturday afternoon... Thomas said she couldn't remember how many times she fed the baby because she was high on crack, the records said... Neighbor Jim Rookey, 47, said he ran up to the couple's third-floor apartment and found Thomas cradling the baby and screaming... 'I knew at that point that the baby was dead,' Rookey said. 'But I didn't want to say anything. I don't know how long the baby had been down, but I could tell it had been a while because his body had stiffened up.'"

Nothing says "Lighter Side" like stories about drug addiction and negligent parenting leading to death of infants.:|

I've said this before, but I'll explain it again. I CANNOT post "In The News". I have asked about it, they thought they fixed it. It didn't work.

That's cool. Still, this doesn't belong on the Lighter Side... I mean, in my opinion...

Well, at one time the mods had labelled "The Lighter Side" with Eeper's Forked Up Stories" so they wanted them in here anyways. Meh. Just saying.

I just had to read the article to see if it was my ex-husband on the dead baby coke binge.
Nope.

In that movie the baby was crawling across the ceiling if I remember correctly.

Well if they were, these people would have probably had to surrender their child to CPS before they went on a 3 day crack binge the killed the kid.
