View Full Version : Well, I found out what the maximum range of a Plymouth Neon is...
Betty 12-01-2004, 09:44 PM ... with about half city and half highway driving.
I got 291 miles out of a 12.4 gallon tank. I got gas today, and actually drifted in neutral to the pump because the engine just used the last bit of fumes left(yes I know that's not good for it).
That comes to 31.5 mpg with half city and half highway driving. Not bad for a 3 speed auto.:nice:
Gibson 12-01-2004, 10:12 PM how does that come out to 31.5 mpg? By my math it's 23.4...:|:|:|
I get about 190miles/10 gallons
Dr_EluSivE 12-01-2004, 11:04 PM Whats the Neons MPT? (miles Per Transmission)

Dr.
Still strong at 80k.
Not the greatest, high performace or anything, but hey, at the gas pump, it's my turn to chuckle a little when I see an SUV or Mustang pull up.

:nice: that's good milage!
I ran my truck down until the "get gas now, stupid" light came on .... i got 405miles on it and it still had a whole 1.4 gallons left in the tank (the light came on at about 350miles, but there was no station around where I was)... then it only took 10bucks to fill it back up! (J/K about the ten buck part :) .... it took a hair more then that)
Betty 02-02-2005, 03:29 PM Got better now. We changed the air filter, spark plugs, and gave it an oil change.
I went 412 miles on 11.7 gallons.
That averages out to about 35mpg. :nice:

Kick ass Betty!!
what year is it? I have an 97' the mileage sounds about right, considering that I am a little heavy on the gas pedal. Mebbe someday the missus will let me get that intake and headers I want for it. *crosses fingers*
MamaG 02-16-2005, 08:34 PM Get rid of those neons....the air bags don't work
