Sounds like a leaky capacitor. Open it up, try and find/replace the bad one. You might also try putting an electrolytic as near the pickup as possible, between positive, and ground, (say 2000 mfd, 35v).
RightWingZealot 11-28-2004, 09:36 AM I say it is a grounding problem. open it up and check all your solder points.
Diavolo 11-28-2004, 11:03 AM Here's my Fender rip-off piece of crap :D
Too many problems to list, the pawn shop wouldn't even take it, but I still like it anyway. :p
It's a "Barracuda". Ai yai yai!

dang..you must have sold alot of oranges! :D :nice:
oki...check the female where the cord goes in. you can usually unscrew it. if it looks bad, replace it..fairly cheap part. i had a similiar problem with my old Gibson (but was too cheap to get it fixed)..it's possible something got to much moisture and is corroded.
Gibson 11-28-2004, 01:49 PM Ph33r! :eek3:

LOL, yeah. that's actually my buddy duane's house. He's a guitar nut. He had a band that hit it semi-big in the 80s and he's still reaping the rewards :p
I have an amp with my guitar that I'll take a picture of when I get my guitar back.
gibson: :eek7: love the cross on top...
betty: I want your fretless..
monster: beauty.
and thanks for the advice guys, Ill see what I can do with it. allthough I have the feeling Ill end up taking it to the repair shop in teh end.. I once opened up my synth just to see if there were any cool potmeters inside that I could ajust, and now my pitch bend is screwed and the on/off button lost its function. :hmm:

I used to sell that stuff to unsuspecting victims.
I have a lovely 83 (i think) Fender Elite, once owned by Mr Ty Tabor.
Never shall it pass from my ownership!
