I found this to be an interesting quote ( of course Chile was still ensnared in dependency as manufactured goods/spare parts ( such as copper machinery ) could only come from the United States ) I felt that Kissinger had the most horrid quote concerning the election of Allende. This one is perhaps more dispicable:

Allende's coffin was sealed and his wife Hortensia never saw him inside. The military would want to lie about murdering a legit, democratically elected president.

he was recently stripped of his immunity and doctors from different sides of the case all examined him. Supreme Court Justice Guzman has to weigh all the evaluation accounts and decide if Pinochet is fit for trial.

There's no way Allende wrote a suicide letter while battling forces at La Moneda Palace. In fact, I've never heard of or have seen a suicide letter from President Salvador Allende, forged or not.
