Both of these were an uphill battle for me with my kids.
What things worked for you with toilet training??? How did you deal with bed wetting???

I'm trying to help my brother and sis-in-law with my nephew but I'm feeling like it's a waste of time. When he's at daycare, he's good and doesn't have many accidents. As soon as he gets home they put a diaper on him, and don't ever ask him if he has to go potty. I had him with me at home last week, I didn't keep him in a diaper, and he didn't have any accidents.
They're just not very consistant with him. :nonono:

Out of curiousity, how's old your nephew???
I know with my son, part of it was all the problems in my second pregnancy. The poor kid was shuffled around constantly, and when he was with us, it was usually at the hospital. That set him back a lot :hmm:

He'll be three next month
Cheerios or paper boats work to train boys to keep their streams in the bowl.
Our little girl was so much easier than the boys to train.

never had a problem with the kids wetting the bed.
My oldest was a freak about using the toilet..
he would kick and scream and hold it in as long as he culd.. andthen the second we'd take him off the toilet he'd run behind the easy chair and dump in his pants.
he was just so freaked out about losin his poo in the toilet. I dunno why.
He even tried to push it back in once.
That was creepy.
He'd hold it for days, and we'd just sit him on the toilet and not let him up until he flat out couldnt hold it anymore.
eventualy he realized that he could indeed take a crap and live to tell the tale and he was OK.

They were both hard to train. I remember everyone telling me that the youngest would be easier than the first kid. Yeah ok.. You just have to keep at it. :|

It was a battle with the first, but we got there.
We are in the midst of the battle with the 2nd. He's being stubborn. He will hold it and go on the potty if he doesn't have a pull up on but if we are doing something where he has a pullup on, he'll just be lazy and go in his pants.
