How do/did you feed your infants???

We've all heard breast is best, but it ended up not working for me.

Do you think (and some people do) that parents who bottle feed aren't "good parents"????

Did you find your breast fed infant to be healthier than bottle fed babies???

If you are/were a working mother who nursed, how did you handle expressing milk, etc.???

Did you ever second guess your decision???

Discuss.

Only one time did I see my Mrs. with the breast pump on and working. It was just a slight snicker. I mean, how could anyone blame a guy for that? I'd like very much to forget the whole thing.

I've spent my hours feeding and burping babies. It's something you never forget. I'm done with it.

Our babies stopped being breast/bottle fed at about 1 year. This was their mothers decision and I had no objections. There are all kinds of books on the subject.

Her nipples cracked a few times. It happens. I don't talk about stuff like that. She gets really sensitive. If she knew I was posting this I'd get hurt. :| :p

Engorgement is a frightening thing to see. :|

My brother dropped my oldest son once from abotu 4 feet off the ground while the boy was bottlefeeding. He kept on sucking away like nothing happened.

I'm in the same boat, but I can talk about my buddy...we'll call him "flunken hearted man"....anyways, his wife tried breast-feeding, but it was too much after a week or so my- I mean his- youngest actually started spitting up blood that she was sucking off those poor, raw nerples. So although they gave it a valiant effort, both kids were bottle-babes after the first week.

My kids both ended up bottle feeding.

My son wanted to eat, all the time. Every 20 minutes I was nursing him. So, because I needed sleep, and then I ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery when he was 3 weeks old, he went to the bottle.

My daughter was in the NICU for 6 weeks, and I tried pumping, but she wasn't thriving on breast milk. Once she was put on formula, she began to gain weight. Plus for me, the whole pumping thing was a very painful reminder of her condition.

I don't regret either choice.

Some women can't do it. No shame. It just turned out that way. I wonder if there are women out there who just don't want to.

I was an Enfamil baby. So when we switched to formula we did that. My wife never took formula.

my mom breast fed all of us except one of my siblings, my mom said she made her nipples bleed when she nursed because she nursed so hard. Mom had to go the breast-pump-route, pump it out and bottle it up!

When I have children I will definitely breast feed, but if for some reason I am unable I will invest in a breast pump. I think mother's milk is best :)

Due to circumstances, my breastfeeding dreams were shortlived. I had to go bottle. I wish I could've breastfed. Its the best for the kid, hands down, but a Mom's gotta do what a Mom's gotta do.
