Unlike previous generations, I haven't seen so many young kids protesting, and yelling out something half-thought but well rhymed. The closest comparison in the past was the "hippies" in college, protesting war. But there are high-schoolers and younger out there with signs. In a sense, its nice to see the energy and that some of them care. But I also know that they don't realize all the issues and that simple slogans like "Nuke Them" or "War Sucks" just don't cut it.

Ten years ago, if I had something to protest, and my friend were doing it, I would join in. I think at that age, its more action than message.

I question generations that protest. I wonder if the events of the 1960s, for example, had an impact on the generations living at that time that were not young teenagers. How do such events affect the very young?

I question generations that protest.

That's why they protest.
