I love the theme from Growing Pains. It's a good song exclusive of the show, which I also loved.

I like how a lot of shows have started using mainstream tunes for their theme songs (or songs became popular because of the show):

The original CSI (local radio station keeps playing this one lately...very cool)
Smallville
Highlander TV Series (used movie theme song - have heard it on the radio)
Enterprise

There's probably a bunch more...my mind just went blank... :P

Sanford and Son has the best theme, no question about it.

the theme from the jeffersons rocks too.

actually i dislike the fact actual songs have been used as theme songs for shows. some of which were not so mainstream and werent made to be yet have been sold to be mainstream. ugh. that disgusts me.

Cheers and Mash were about the only theme songs I really liked.
