Irish show jumper Cian O'Connor may be stripped of his Olympic gold medal after it was confirmed today that his horse, Waterford Crystal, failed a doping test in Athens last August.
source: http://www.rte.ie/sport/2004/1008/olympics.html

if the horse was given i.llegal performance enhencing substances to make it jump better then yes ireland should be stripped of gold medal just like any drug cheats (including the cyclist who failed 3 out of 4 tests for one substance but as the B test from the olympics was accidentally frozen wasn't stripped of his gold medal)

hopefully their was an error in the A test and the B test will be tested and found negative. hopefully the B test can be tested so that their can be closure on this issue and hopefully their isn't a lab mess up that means it cannot be tested. what i want is a definite result from the B test

It would be a pity if its true.

It would be easier to announce the horses/athletes who werent taking drugs.

I've got another very related story here

O'Connor again pleads his innocence

Ireland's Olympic gold medallist Cian O'Connor has again vehemently denied he is a cheat, after it was revelaed that another of his horses, ABC Landliebe, had tested positive for a banned substance.

it makes you want to ask "what the hell's going on Mr. O'Connor?"
