Picking specific ones such as 'abortion' kinda waters down the importance. You also missed Iraq as one of the big issues. Monster 08-30-2004, 08:16 PM And gay marriage. Also, I'd like to see an "undecided" and/or "uncertain" option added to the polls with a "yes" or "no" as the only choices. Powerboss 08-30-2004, 08:30 PM Iraq is terrorism Although I would agree that gay issues and civil liberties should be added. h2g2Fan 08-30-2004, 08:31 PM Iraq is terrorism Not according to the state department. Although I would agree that gay issues and civil liberties should be added. Gay issues, and the right to choose is a subset of civil liberties. Powerboss 08-30-2004, 08:46 PM Not according to the state department. Iraq/Terrorism/Afghanistan/War is all the same issue. Gay issues, and the right to choose is a subset of civil liberties. This thread isn't for debates, its for suggestions. Gay issues are not exclusively civil liberties issues. Kraw. I'd suggest you close this thread because all you are going to get is whining and complaining from certain people. Have them PM you for suggestions to add to polls. h2g2Fan 08-30-2004, 08:51 PM Iraq/Terrorism/Afghanistan/War is all the same issue. I'm done in this thread other than to suggest a poll, do DAers think what PB just said is true? Powerboss 08-30-2004, 08:52 PM Troll. It all revolves around national security. Kraw 08-30-2004, 09:39 PM we can add it to the poll next week when we start a new one :) please, suggestions only :) h2g2Fan 09-04-2004, 05:09 AM Agree, disagree with the following statement: "It's entirely possible to love America more than any other country without believing it's the best in all respects. In fact, thinking we're the best may lead to smugness that stands in the way of our becoming better or learning from others." Kraw 09-04-2004, 09:01 AM Agree, disagree with the following statement: "It's entirely possible to love America more than any other country without believing it's the best in all respects. In fact, thinking we're the best may lead to smugness that stands in the way of our becoming better or learning from others." I'll put it up on monday or whenver we do the next one :nice: Corporate Avenger 09-07-2004, 04:27 AM Leave the polls open for longer than a couple days, I didn't get to vote in any of them, and by looking at the number of people that voted, many others wern't able to either.. Government corruption should be another option in the most important issues thread, and Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism, since there's no proof other than some wild speculation, lumping it in with terrorism would be ridiculous.. Powerboss 09-07-2004, 05:16 AM The polls will be run on a bi weekly basis to note changes and add and subtract new questions depending on the new news items and how they relate to the election. Iraq/Terrorism/National Security = All the same category. h2g2Fan 09-07-2004, 05:26 AM See post 7 h2g2Fan 09-12-2004, 09:30 PM Where should the line be drawn on the 2nd Amendment? Personal ownership of: WMDs Missile launcher Portable Rocket Launcher / RPG Automatic Weapons Assault Weapons Semi-automatic hand guns Hand guns Hunting Rifles No guns at all (vote for the highest level of arsenal a person should be allowed to have) Kraw 09-12-2004, 10:23 PM so, run them for 2 weeks instead of one? I wont' be able to set any up this week, unless the hotel I'm going to be at has the net :( h2g2Fan 09-12-2004, 10:25 PM so, run them for 2 weeks instead of one? Is this a poll suggestion? ;] ironwest 11-03-2004, 11:10 AM how many are influenced by this discussion for the 2004 election?
